StarClan Save Us {Open}

HalcyonMoon's eyes drifted open blurrily, the images painted before her blending together, making her world swim with a series of unpleasant swirls. For a few moments she had to keep her eyes closed to prevent herself from being sick, but as soon as she was sure he was alright again she blinked them open and was surprised by the sights she was met with. Icy snow and wind pelted her fur, making her shiver right down to the very core of her being. This was not her home. These conditions were worse than the worst leafbare she had ever been in, and if the stories she had been told by others while growing up were true than this was even worse than anything her clan had ever seen.

Silvery-brown pelt glittering against the onslaught of frigid wind, the RiverClan deputy stood to her shaky paws and looked around, trying to find any evidence that she wasn't alone. So far there were no signs of any other clan members, and that worried her. Was she the only survivor? "Hello?! Anyone here?!" HalcyonMoon called, her meows calm and level, but with an air of panic. Where was her father? He would know what to do, right?

Willowbreeze slowly emerged from behind a snowbank. "I-I'm Willowbreeze," she said, eyeing the other cat. "RiverClan." The calico she-cat settled down, keeping an eye on the unfamiliar tom. She had been picked up just yesterday, and dumped in this frozen wasteland, without finding another cat. She wouldn't admit to it, but finding Halcyonmoon had been a huge relief. The twolegs weren't about to let her wander around, doomed to de alone.

She'd had a little too much time to think.

HalcyonMoon's eyes sharply turned to the direction that she heard WillowBreeze. It was a relief to see not only another cat around here, but one that she knew well. WillowBreeze was someone the young deputy knew she could trust, a feeling that couldn't be found as often as it should be in this day and age. Especially now where they were at.

"Oh, thank StarClan." HalcyonMoon meowed, suppressing a light shiver against the cold as she approached the young warrior. "Have you seen my father? Or anyone else?"

These new lands were frigid and terrifying, though HalcyonMoon would be hardpressed to admit that to anyone. She had earned her title as deputy well, and she would hone it until the day she either joined StarClan or the day she would take her father's place as clan leader.

Not far off, Velvetskies lay huddled in the small shelter of a snowbank. Wide aqua eyes were full to the brim with nothing but pure terror. Where on earth was she? How did she get here? Last she could recall, she was fishing with her friends at the river. And now...

A shiver passed through her lithe body, setting her fawn-silver fur on end. This was not RiverClan; this was no where near RiverClan, as far as she could tell. She knew for certain it was supposed to be greenleaf right now, but this was most definately leaf-bare. The worst leaf-bare she had ever seen.

Squinting through the snow, Velvetskies noticed the outline of two other cats. Sending a quick prayer to StarClan she bounded over to meet them.

"Hey! Hey over there!" the she-cat called frantically. "Are you from RiverClan? It's Velvetskies!"

Willowbreeze's eyes widened. "HalcyonMoon?!" She supressed a sigh of relief. At first she had not recognized the deputy. "How'd they get you? And no, I'm sorry... I haven't seen StoneRiver." Willowbreeze dipped her head, aknowledging HalcyonMoon's hope that her father might have been captured along with her. "In fact, you're the first I've seen since I got here."

Willowbreeze shivered. She was not used to the icy cold of the new terrain, and the lightly-falling snow quickly penetrated her long pelt. Her copper eyes turned to the sky, taking in the same moon and stars she'd gazed at as an apprentice in RiverClan. But now... there was something off about it. They weren't as bright, maybe? The sight sent a chill down her spine. But The sound of another cat's voice shattered her train of thought. "Velvetskies?!" she called, turning toward where she'd heard her Clanmate. She trotted to the snowbank, and was not surprised to find Velvetskies' pale form. "Velvetskies, it's me, Willowbreeze. HalcyonMoon's here too," she managed, nodding toward her deputy. "You two are the first I've seen so far."
